Who Can Join

Membership is open to anyone interested in beekeeping in the Test area — you don't need to own bees, you don't need to live within any particular city limits, and you don't need experience. Curious is enough.

Membership Includes

  • Monthly meeting presentations and workshops
  • New-beekeeper mentoring program
  • Access to the lending library (books, equipment, recorded talks)
  • Member directory with optional location-on-map for connecting with nearby beekeepers
  • Discussion forum for between-meeting questions
  • BeeBay marketplace — group buys, used equipment, member-produced honey
  • Priority on the swarm-call rotation (with appropriate experience)
  • Event calendar with reminders for meetings, workshops, and field days

Annual Dues

$25 per year, calendar-year basis (January–December). New members joining mid-year often get a partial first year — ask at the meeting.

Frequently Asked

Do I need to own bees to join? No. Many members join while they're still researching, and the meetings are a great place to figure out whether beekeeping is right for you before you spend money on equipment.

What if I'm not local but visit the area? You're welcome to attend any meeting as a guest. Membership is intended for people active in the regional community, but we won't card you at the door.

Can my partner / kids come? Yes — meetings are family-friendly. Membership is per household, not per person.
